MEET THE TEAM

Emily Waugh

Founder + Principal Designer

At just 10 years old, Emily found herself enthralled by design shows and spent countless hours assisting her dad with projects around the house. From that early age, she was captivated by the transformative power of design and its ability to enhance people’s lives. With her passion for design, Emily went on to earn her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design from Central Michigan University, where she also minored in Leadership.

Emily quickly established herself as a capable leader in the field by successfully designing and managing large-scale projects from start to finish. Even in the early stages of her career, she demonstrated her aptitude for both creative design and business management, which ultimately led her to found W Haus of Design in 2017.

Emily takes a collaborative approach to design, working closely with her clients to understand their needs and preferences. She is known for her exceptional eye for detail, her ability to bring a client's vision to life, and her passion for creating meaningful spaces that capture her client’s personal style. When she’s not designing, Emily enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.

Karla Reyna

BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER

Karla brings over 15 years of experience in retail, visual merchandising, and business development for high-end design and lifestyle brands. As Business Operations Manager at W Haus of Design, she works alongside Emily to connect clients with the right design solutions, ensuring seamless project coordination and fostering business growth. With a background in communications and marketing, Karla also supports marketing and public relations efforts to strengthen the firm’s presence in West Michigan. Originally from Florida, she now calls Michigan home. In her free time, she enjoys reading about history and exploring her passion for running.
